Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi criticized the Narendra Modi government on Thursday for failing to enlist the state in the list of proposed six new IIMs.
In a statement, Gogoi accused the Centre of paying only lip services to the state. He said, Modi made tall promises for the northeast before the polls. However, the manner in which Assam is left out from the recent announcement is another example of NDA's neglect of the state."
Assam fails to find place in the list of the proposed Indian Institutes of Management even after Centre’s promises.
The beneficiaries are Visakhapatnam, Bodh Gaya, Sirmaur, Nagpur, Sambalpur and Amritsar.
