The Ministry of Rural Development has sanctioned Rs.975,135 crore to Assam, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh and Mahaharashtra under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
According to official sources, Rs.14,795 crore has been sanctioned to Assam State Road Board towards administrative expenses, travel expenses, independent quality monitoring for the PIUs and State Level Agency for the funds released upto Phase-V of PMGSY.
All these agencies will maintain separate account for this grant and submit Utilisation certificate and Audit Reports for the amount already released and amount being released now, to claim further amount due.
The grant is towards plan expenditure and is subject to the provisions of PMGSY Programme Guidelines and supplementary directions issued there under.
Meanwhile, an amount of Rs.400 crore has been granted to Uttar Pradesh Gramin Sadak Abhikaran, an Autonomous Agency for receiving the funds under the PMGSY.
The Kerala State Rural Roads Development Agency (KSRRDA), an Autonomous Agency for receiving the funds under the PMGSY is to get Rs.12.29 crore as Part Payment of 2nd installment for Phase-VI (2004-05) under the programme as Grant-in-Aid.
The Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Agency (MPRRDA), which is Autonomous Agency for receiving the funds under the PMGSY is to receive Rs.448.05 crore as balance payment of 2nd installment for Phase-VI ) under the programme as Grant-in-Aid.
The Maharashtra Rural Roads Development Association (MRRDA) which is Autonomous Agency for receiving the funds under the PMGSY is to receive Rs. 100 crore as Part Payment of the 2nd installment for Phase-V (2005-06) under the programme as Grant-in-Aid.
