A six member delegation team from Bodoland demand groups which included ABSU, BPPF, UDPF, PJACBM led by Pramod Boro,president of ABSU participated in the fifth round of the tripartite talks on the Bodoland issues in the presence of high level officials from Govt of India and Govt of Assam held at Janpath Hotel today in New Delhi.
The meeting was chaired by Sambhu Singh, Joint Secretary, Home Govt of India , other officials present included A K Mishra, Joint Director, IB(Govt of India), Mukti Gogoi, Secretary Home Assam Govt. and Pallav Bathacharya IPS, ADGP Assam and respresentation from movement groups comprises Pramod Boro, president ABSU, Jebraram Muchahary, chief convenor, PJACBM, U G Brahma, former MP (Rajya Sabha), Prodeep Kumar Daimary, president UDPF, Bhramon Baglari,working president of UDPF, Romeo P Narzary, vice president ABSU, Kwrwmdao Wary, secretary ABSU and Gorjon Mushahary, convenor PJACBM.
The talk discussed on the issues of Bodoland separate state demand from movement groups which ended with two resolutions of holding of next round of talk on Bodoland issue will be held on July at New Delhi and issues other than Bodoland area will be discussed on the last week of June or first week of July in the presence of the representative of Union Home Ministry in Guwahati.
The Bodoland emand gropus demanded necessary policy decision from the Centre for the creation of separate state of Bodoland at the central Government with immediate effect,implementation of Centre’s commitment for inclusion of Boro Kocharis of Karbi-Anglong into the Scheduled Tribe-Hills(ST Hills) and ensuring of political rights and status to the Bodos living outside the proposed Bodoland area of Assam.
The groups also submitted a memorandum to Rajnath Singh,Union Home Minister through the tripartite talk on Bodoland separate state demanding early solutions of the long standing pending of separate Bodoand state.
Pramod Boro,president of ABSU told that the talk was in positive and officials from both centre and state participated in positive response.
