Once again feline terror grips Guwahati forcing the authorities to step in.
A section of local residents in Beltola and Bhetapara claimed to have spotted tigers roaring in broad day light on Wednesday.
“As I came out of my house at 2 in the afternoon, I saw a tiger leaving the spot. I got freightened,” said Kanchan Das in Bhetapara area.
Another section of the local residents in Beltola area claimed to have heard a tiger roaring at around 7 in the evening.
“I myself heard the roar to be followed by the barking dogs. We are forced to keep oursleves confined in the house,” said Tara Saikia of Beltola.
Forest officials told Assam Times that they are remaining alert and that they would step in as soon as they get any specific information on the movement of tigers in and around the city.
