There is no trace of the three construction company officials a day after they were kidnapped by a gang of miscreants from a four lane project in Lumding on Saturday.
Security forces being deployed in the search operation are tight-lipped on the progress. The operation continues in the nearby dense jungle.
The investigating police officials have recorded the statements of B Sonar and Dhan Bahadur who were released hours after they were kidnapped along with three top officials.
Sources told Assam Times that the family members of the five workers belonging to the Gayatri Construction engaged in the Lumding-Lanka National Highway project have yet to receive any communication from the abductors.
The construction company authorities have asked the security forces to intensify the search operation to ensure safe recovery of the workers who were kidnapped from the site at gunpoint on Saturday.
According to information, a gang of five miscreants took away TK Saha, SK Bora, P Saha, B Sonar and Dhan Bahadur at gunpoint when they arrived in the spot to supervise the construction of link road. After miscreants later released B Sonar and Dhan Bahadur in the jungle.
