Minus’ in Assembly polls!

BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary has warned  his partymen to work stress more for gaining party strength and his party should not be face of ‘Minus’ position in all 12 existing MLA seats across the stste in the ensuing 2016 Assembly elections.

 Mohilary,who is also President of Bodoland Peoples Front(BPF),addressing the well attended party convention at Bodofa Cultural complex on Sunday in Kokrajhar said that party leader and workers should work for the gain of party position through dedication while building up social integration among society.He has claiming of that his party has still position of winning in all sitting seats in the state his party was gained in power in recent concluded council elections. 

Mohilary told his partymen that party should not be face of ‘Minus’ status which seats are being  occupied by party in the Assembly elections due in 2016 next.He has urged party leader and workers to be more dedicated and win hearts of the publics to meet healthy winning in the society.He also said that has party has decided to give more stress while bringing of social development and equal distributions of the schemes through proper channel.

He has also framed out that each and every developmental schmes should be come through primary and block committee of the party  and party leaders should sign their authorisation in the schemes,otherwise it will not be meet put up.He stressing of well implementation of developmental schemes in the council said that only his partymen will get benefits of the schemes as his party was not gained sufficient majority in the recent concluded elections.He has promised to check work of schemes in corruption free and peoples should get healthy development.

A new committee of the Kokrajhar district unit of the party with Derhasat Basumatary as president and Simson Mushahary as secretary,was formed for next three years in the delegate sitting of the party.

Among others,MLAs Pramila Rani Brahma,Pradip Kumar Brahma,BTC executive members Rajib Brahma,Doneswar Goyary were present in the convention.

Former president of Kokrajhar district unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Binati Bala Basumatary resigned from her party membership on Monday.  Basumatary submitted her resignation letter to the state party president citating personal reason . She was Kokrajhar district BJP president for 2011-2015, who had gained strength of the party through her strong leadership in the district. Basumatary's quit of the party ahead assembly election would draw a set back party strength in the Kokrajhar. Three cadres of the NDFB(S) were arrested by security forces in a joint operation belonging to police and army at Hakata village under Barama PS in Baksa district on Sunday. The cadres were identified as Jwangsar Boro @ KK, Mohit Mushahary and Pramod Ramchiary @ Khankari @Raja   of Baksa district. They were actively involved in extortion, arms smuggling and other nefarious and anti national activities and Adivasi carnage in December(2014) and had run away and sheltered themselves in Chennai, till their return.
