Sonowal in BTAD election rally

Union sports minister Sarbananda Sonowal took part in a election rally for BJP candidates to the scheduled April 8 council elections at Chandrapara ground in Kokrajhar district. Sonowal has been campaigning for party candidates in BTAD area and promised for good governance to the common publics as BJP has reigned in centre.

Sonowal addressing the rally said that his party was working for the upliftment of the common publics and equal distribution of rights to the peoples is the prime agenda of the party.He said that BJP led NDA government at the centre has stressed the need of social integration among various communities in the region as well as country.

He has promised good governance with security and development among all sections of society.He has strongly criticised the Congress,AIUDF and termed that both party is a same face of a same coin in their spirits on the issue of illegal migrants as they never step to solve problems of immigrants in the state. He has claimed that BJP will win in large majority seats and council would be formed BJP and ensures of safe and security to the region if they voted to power in the council.

Sonowal also released vision document fo the Bodoland Territorial Council Legislative Assembly in the presence party candidates from Banargaon Manoj Kumar Brahma,Salakati Malati Rani Narzary, Debargaon Samarendra Brahma, Baokhungri Rajkumar Brahma and Dotma Bibhuti Borogoyary and seeked votes to the election.

The document higlights of the various issues of the region including good governance with motto of peoples’participation from representative to participatory democracy,ensure of food security for all citizens,ensure proper and efficient use of public funds,introduction of mobile van courts in all VCDC levels,implementaion of Right to Education Act,2009 in BTAD,luanching a council multi-skill mission.

Manoj Kumar Brahma, Banargaon candidate has claimed that his party is winning the council in large number of seats and council would be formed under was working for the upliftment of the social integration. Brahma has also claimed that his winning from Banargaon seat as well as in large number of seats is cent percent clear.

Security forces have intensified their combing operation against militant outfits in the region.  Three link men/over ground worker of the National Democratic Front of Boroland-Songbijit faction were apprehended by security forces in a joint operation at Ripu Reserve Forest on Sunday morning in Kokrajhar district. A businessman was hospitalized after attacked with sharp weapon by miscreants at Champa bazaar area on Friday evening in Kokrajhar district. In a joint operation launched by the security forces from Assam Police and Army apprehended a cadre of Kamatapur Liberation Organization (KLO) at Salakati village under Kokrajhar PS on Friday.  He was identified as Sonaram Roy of Balagaon area of Kokrajhar district. An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel. A live fire fighting exercise was carried out alongside the drill by Fire and Rescue Services personnel.
