Captured rebels on transit remand

More sensational revelations seem to have surfaced on the Adivasi carnage in Assam as the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad continues to grill the notorious NDFB-S militants after they caught in the state on Friday

A team of Assam police is also arriving in Mumbai to take the trio on transit remand. They are believed to have been visiting Mumbai along with a few others to replenish their finances by tapping sympathizers. But they came to city to avoid the massive crackdown by security forces.

Identified as B Songa alias Bisho, B Swamkhar and Purno Narzary, the trio are natives Baksa district who were among the perpetrators to have killed over 80 people on December 25 last year. 
Bisho's brother, also was also allegedly involved in the bloodbath was killed in an encounter with security forces in Assam in January this year.
Acting on a tip-off from the Intelligence Bureau, an ATS team conducted surveillance of the suspects following which they were picked up on Friday night.
