Beware private schools

A special Act is coming up to deal with the private schools known for exorbitant charge as fees. The same Act , now in process, would further firmly deal with the school managements were the teachers are not paid due amount.

At the end of a livelier discussion on the floor of the House on Tuesday, education minister Sarat Brkotoky said that Sarat Borkotoky said private English medium schools, mostly, have been violating the norms.

He said that the best possible way to deal with these schools is a tough Act in the state. "I will talk to the Chief Minister to get a special Act to rein in these school,” said the minister as he was responding to Keshab Mahanta from AGP during the Question Hour.
