Election steering office inaugurated

The wave of election steering committee office inauguration and campaigning from several regional and national parties including BPF,BJP,PCDR gain momentum in BTC region to contest scheduled council election declared to be held on April 8 next.

Former Rajya Sabha MP and adviser of Peoples Coordination for Democratic Rights(PCDR),a united organisation of various communities inaugurated the Kokrajhar district election steering committee office of PCDR today at Mijink Nwgwr along the JD Road in Kokrajhar.

Brahma in his speech said that the PCDR has been contesting in all constituencies of BTC election scheduled on April 8 next to meet good governance and change of social integration.He said that the PCDR is getting majority support from all sections of communities in large number of constituencies and way of council formation formation is cent percent clear after April 11.

Former BTC executive member and BJP candidate from Banargaon constituency Manoj Kumar Brahma(Mono Kumar Brahma) has inaugurated the Patgaon sub election management committee in the presence of huge party supporters in Kokrajhar.

Brahma said that his party was working for upliftment of social change and integration among different communities and various organisations from diefferent communities are supporting him in the election.He has expressed his confident that his winning is cent percent clear as irrespective of caste and creed are come forward to support him.He also told that this time BJP will score good numbers of seats in the council election and next council would be under his party,he claimed.

Narayan Chandra Basumatary,president of Kokrajhar district BPF inaugurated the Banargaon block election steering committee office at Banargaon for party candidate Rajiv Kumar Brahma today in Kokrajhar. Basumatary appealed all sections of communities to vote for BPF to meet more development and unity in the region in the election.Earlier,Rajiv Kumar Brahma,BPF nomination for Banargaon constituency hoisted party flag and appealed to vote for his nomination from the seat.He has claimed that various organisations from different communities are supporting him in the election.

An emergency response mock drill was conducted by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) at Habrubari in Kokrajhar district on Friday,which was a part of offsite emergency mock on the IOCL Guwahati-Siliguri underground pipeline to test the preparedness of its emergency personnel.
