Delhi police denies racial assault

The recent assault on the Assamese student in Delhi mires into controversy with police refusing it to call it case of racial attack.

According to Delhi police, a few local residents in Amar Colony area assaulted Arbazuddin as he was mistakenly trying to unlock a door of a someone else’s door in an inebriated condition.

Sources told Assam Times that Delhi policemen are on the look out of the goons who beat up the student from Guwahati.

But his family members have been claiming it a case of racial attack on the north east student who is undergoing treatment at the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. after he suffered fractures in his limbs and jaw.

The incident took place March 5 wee hours when he tried to open the lock of a house where he does not stay.
