ED: now its turn for Riniky

A team of Enforcement Directorate officials grilled Riniky Sarma on Tuesday two days after CBI questions her in connection with the Saradha chit fund.

According to Assam Times Crime Investigation Bureau the wife of former minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma was grilled for several hours in Kolkata on Tuesday.

The ED sleuths interrogated Sarma on the deal her Pride East Entertainment (P) Ltd struck with Saradha boss Sudipto Sen.      

Her satellite news channel allegedly took money from Sen to air ad on behalf of the chit fund.

The ED team asked her whether money was paid by Saradha group without actually airing those advertisements in its entirety or not. 

ED questioned her two days after CBI special investigation team grilled her in connection with the chit fund.

The CBI team probing the multi crore scam last year raided her residence and channel office and seized some documents relating to the business deal between Newslive and Saradha.

The Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam's Marigaon district is known for its high density of one-horned rhinoceros and is also an important habitat for various bird species.
