NDFB-S rebel killed

Security forces claimed to have killed yet another NDFB (S) rebel at an encounter in Karbi Anglong district. The encounter took place at Bogijan area bordering Golaghat in the evening.

Sources told Assam Times that police had to fire upon after they came to see three suspected NDFB (S) militants. A rebel was killed on the spot while two others managed to escape. Police further recovered a pistol, two grenades and seven live cartridges were recovered from the spot.
