AOD: AASU ready for intensified agitation.

The All Assam Students Union has said it have no option but to take resort to an intensified agitation if the Indian Oil Corporation further cariues forward its bid to take over the Assam Oil Division.

Addressing a press meet on Monday, AASU president Shankar Prasad Roy, alleged that IOC is conspiring to take over the Assam Oil Division. They said IOC business with AOD has been successful. They further produced a letter by R K Bhargabh, a joint secretary of the petroleum ministry on October 14, 1981 asking the Indian Oil Corporation to give autonomy to the AOD to run the business with the symbol of red rhino.
