Farewell to JB Patnaik

Janki Ballav Patnaik leaves Assam on Thursday a day after his tenure ended as governor. Chief minister Tarun Gogoi along with his cabinet colleagues bade him farewell at a function at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Friday afternoon.

In his short speech, the emotional outgoing governor thanked the people of Assam for allowing him to discharge his duties smoothly.

Meanwhile, Gauhati High Court Chief Justice will administer oath to Nagaland Governor PB Acharya as Assam governer at a brief function at the Raj Bhawan on Friday untill further arrangement.
