ULFA man killed in shoot out

Amid stepped up offensive, security forces killed an Ulfa(I) rebel on Thursday two days before Prime Minister’s maiden visit to Assam.  

Identified as Nitul Gogoi, the ULFA man was killed near Tingkhang in in Dibrugarh district in the morning. ULFA-I later called Gogoi a pro-talks faction of the Ulfa.
