Jorhat teachers demand CBI probe

The Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association demands CBI probe into the killing of Dijendra Nath Gogoi at the school premises in Jorhat apart from giving 48 hours deadline to nab the miscreant.

In a memorandum to chief minster Tarun Gogoi, a copy of which was sent to education minister Pradyut Bordoloi, the Jorhat unit of the Assam State Primary Teachers’ Association said the police have failed to arrest the gunmen therefore, it would be impossible for police to unearth the truth.

They said that only a CBI probe would be able to identify the culprit who shot dead the headmaster of Namuna Bagan Lower Primary School at Borbheta under Lichubari police outpost.
