NEU FC thrash Kerala Blasters 1-0 goal

Finally, the North East United FC defeated Kerala Blasters by 1-0 goal after a thrilling second ISL match in Guwahati on Monday a day after the Kolkata team thrashed their Mumbai counterparts.

Koke scored the first goal on behalf of the Highlanders against the Sachin Tendulkar-owned Kerala Blasters at the fag-end of the first half at the packed Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Monday evening.

The second half of the match turned more thrilling when the home team wanted to post yet another goal while the Kerala Blasters desperately tried their best to post a goal. But of no avail. The second half ended without any goal.

Apart from the footballers from abroad, the home players got overwhelming response from over one lakh fans who enjoyed the match along with Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishekh Bachachan, Mukesh Ambani, ISL chairperson Nita Ambani, Mary Kom, John Abraham who owns the North East United FC and Sachin Tendulkar who owns Kerala Brothers.
