After ULFA and NDFB-S, ANLA militants start unleahsing terror among the people n Sonitpur district in the form of extortion and kidnapping. Suspected ANLA militants kidnapped businessman and associates in Sonitpur district on Sunday forcing the authority to launch combing operation to nab the perpetrators.
The incident took place at Maujuli area on Sunday where the militants entered the house of Naba Sarma who owns a grocery store near Majuligarh Tea Estate and abducted him along with his employee Sandu Newar. A search operation was launched to rescue the two.
The family members are not aware of any demand calls so far. But a section of local people claimed that Sarma had received an extortion notice from the ANLA some time ago. But they had not made any payment so far.
