Union home minister Rajnath Singh will be on a stock taking visit to Assam next week. Singh who is monitoring the entire situation from New Delhi is in constant touch with Union ministers Kiren Rijiju and Sarbananda Sonowal who are on visit to the flood-hit state on Thursday.
Singh has asked the duo to apprise him of the situation on their return. On Wednesday Singh assured Tarun Gogoi of all possible help to tide over the situation when he talked to the chief minister over telephone.
