Rescued children brought back

Finally, the Assam police have brought back 40 children from Maharashtra nearly a month after they were rescued in an industry. A team of CID arrived in Maharashtra Sunday and left for Guwahati on Monday with the children of whom 36 are girls.

They were brought to the outside state a couple of months ago by a racket of child traffickers to be deployed at a fishery industry.

The Maharashtra CID, with the support of an NGO rescued as the children.

But despite repeated information, the Assam police took nearly a month to send a team to take them back to Assam.
