No let-up in Lakhimpur flood

 Lakhimpur district continues to reel under the second wave of flood waters. The situation worsened on Saturday as the water level of the river Subansiri is still on the rise.

Yet another person was washed away at Chauldhua village in Lakhimpur on Friday night. With this, the toll has gone up to 3

 The river Subansiri is flowing above the danger level following heavy rainfall forcing more than 1000 families in Lakhimpur district to take shelter in relief camps set up by the district administration. /
