The flood fury in the Kaziranga National Park seems to have showing a receding trend on Tuesday. Twenty percent of the entire national park is now free for the animals to stay.
The animals and birds to have shifted to the Karbi hills at the height of the fury are expected to be return.
But many areas of the park are still inaccessible despite a drop in the water level. Park authorities told Assam Times that that proper extent of damages would be assessed later.
