Gogoi’s fate uncertain

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi’s fate seems to have been hanging in balance as party high command is believed to have been looking for his replacement.

Sonia Gandhi is likely to take the final call likely by the next week. But she has been waiting for Rahul Gandhi who is on a foreign visit.

The decision to replace Gogoi was taken after Mallikarjun Kharge, submitted a report to Sonia Gandhi on June 30 suggesting that Gogoi has not been enjoying majority in the Congress legislative party.
