Its yet another blow for the electricity consumers. Electricity tariff goes up. It is up by 34 paise per unit from Tuesday.
The proposal was approved a couple of months back. But the ASEB could not enforce it in the face of widespread protest.
But finally it has come into force from Tuesday driggering a wave of protest across the state at a time when loadshedding has been a major headache for the last several years.
