Mohilary rejuvenates development

The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary urges to maintain peace and harmony among all section of society as there is apprehension of mistrust in the aftermath of election.

Mohilary has convened a meeting with the intellectuals and senior citizens on Friday at PWD Guest House at Kokrajhar to discuss the situation about the growing mistrust among the Bodos and non-Bodos pertaining to the election.

“Election is over and now it’s the time to work for the development of BTAD”, he said.

BTC Chief has appealed the people to remain united and work for the development of the region.

He also said that Bodos and non-Bodos have to co-exist otherwise peace will not prevail in the region.

It is to mentioned that the polarization of votes has been witnessed resulting the defeat of powerful Bodo candidates in the 5 No. Kokrajhar  (ST) Lok Sabha constituency that was declared on May 16.

Naba Kumar Sarania(Hira) was supported by Janagostiyo Akhya Mancha won the seat with a massive votes of over 3 lakhs defeating Independent candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma and BPF candidate Chandan Brahma.

Mohilary, who is also the BPF President, however, did not comment about the dissidents in the Congress party. BPF is an ally of Congress in Assam.
