PM’s peace call

Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has expressed grave concern over the fresh orgy of violence in BTAD where 33 people were killed and over 25 have gone missing.

In a statement, the prime minister who represents Assam in parliament asked the chief minister to deal with the situation firmly. He assured the chief minister of all help to get rid of the situation.
Dr Singh further appealed to the people to remain calm.
