Independent candidate for No. 5 Kokrajhar Lok Sabha constituency Sabda Rabha released his election manifesto at Kokrajhar Press Club in Kokrajhar on Friday. The manifesto highlights the issues of human resource and society base in the constituency includes providing safety and security to the life and properties of the common publics, formation of conflict prevention team in the region to end of difference feelings among various communities.
The manifesto also speaks of providing equal rights and distribution among different caste and communities, extending helping hand to the demand of ST status to the Adivasi and Koch Rajbongsi, Rehabilitation to the affected peoples since 1993, setting up of National Institute of Technology and Regional Institute of Medical Sciences under Kokrajhar Lok Sabha to strengthen the education scenario.
Rabha also said he would raise the issue of re-examining the BTC accord, to solve the Kamatapur demand on through political dialogue, re-established the historic Adivasi Santhal agency, frame a law in the parliamentary to stop atrocities and harassment to the northeastern people and complete the updating of NRC on the base year of 25 March of 1971 in Assam and identify the illegal migrants.
Rabha also come heavily on Naba Kumar Sarania saying that Sarania is a leader of banned organization and is yet to surrender. He said people of Kokrajhar constituency are feed up with gun culture and gun power and wanted peace and will not support leader who holds arms. People have still not forgotten the harassment melted out by Sarania and his groups.
Rabha said though he is contesting as independent candidate, people will support him as party does not matters to the voters but the issue matters.
