An eerie silence seems to have prevailed in Sonari a day after a local businessman died in miscreants’ attack in the heart of the town on Friday.
Roads are wearing a deserted look as vehicles are refusing to ply from early in the morning. Shops and markets, schools and colleges have been remaining closed. Attendance in the banks and officers is thin under the impact of a 12 hour bandh called by the traders’ body.
Notably, a businessman was killed hours after miscreants sprayed several rounds of bullets on his womb on Friday evening.
Identified as Golap Lunawat, the local trader in Sonari breathed his last at 8-30 in the evening two hours after he was rushed to the Aditya Hospital.
