Tezpur Congress candidate Bhupen Bora on Thursday dared NDFB-S to bid farewell to arms as the people in large number defied their bandh call in Tezpur.
Talking to reporters in Biswanath Chariali, Bora said that defying the 12 bandh call, the Congress workers are pouring in to attend Rahul Gandhi’s poll rally.
“The rally is going to a huge one. Party workers are pouring in. Let NDFB-S lay down arms as people are defying the bandh call,” said Bora.
The 12 hour bandh call seems to have evoked mixed response on Thursday. Barring some tiny pockets or the Bodo dominated areas, the bandh has hardly any impact in the entire district.
