Swacch Sarvekshan Grameen 2018 launched in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Golaghat district administration on Tuesday launched the Swacch Sarvekshan Grameen 2018, a rural cleanliness programme under the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation which will rank all districts of the country on the basis of sanitation (Swacchata) parameters.The ranking will be based on parameters such as data from Swacch Bharat Mission-Gramin IMIS, district-level surveys of public places like schools, Anganwadis, PHCs, haat bazaars, Panchayat and citizen’s perception of Swacchata. Top ranking states and districts will be awarded on October 2, 2018. The survey will be carried out from August 1-30.The meeting on the occasion was chaired by Addl Deputy Commissioner Dhiraj Das. Addl Deputy Commissioners Utpal Doley, S.K. Gogoi, SDO (c) Dhansiri, Bipul Das, SDO (c) Bokakhat, Vivek SHyam, all circle officers, Executive Engineer, PHE, Monoranjan Saikia, heads of various departments and officials from PHE department were present in the meeting.The campaign will be launched centrally in Guwahati today.
