Bonzar SC beat Nahata SC

Kokrajhar: Bonzar Sports Club, Kachugaon beat Nahata Sports Club, Kokrajhar Tea Estate 3-1 goals in the opening match of United Jilimili Prizemoney Trophy-2018 being played at Magurmari Jilimili Club playground in Kokrajhar. 

For Bonzar, Dwimalu Basumatary scored first goal in 3 minutes.Again Dhanjit Boro and John Narzary scored one each goal in 4 and 12 minutes against Nahata sports club. Kupit Roy of Nahata netted lone goal against Bonzar which reduced 3-1 goal in 8 minutes. 

BTC executive member Doneswar Goyary inaugurated the football trophy in the presence of huge gathering. 

Goyary said that sporting environment must prevailed in the region. He said that BTC administration has been emphasized to make healthy uplift. 

Altogether 26 teams are participating the football tournament from different registered football clubs.

The championship team would be awarded a trophy and cash Rs. 20,000 while runners up team would be awarded trophy and cash Rs. 15,000 respectively.

BTC executive member Rajib Brahma, Kokrajhar SP Rajen Singh were attended as guests on the occasion. 

President of the organising committee,Dipak Kumar Rabha said that the sports tournament has been organised to create sports environment among all sections of society in the region. 

Tomorrow, Dwodini SC, Debargaon will take on Dihung SC, Khagrabari.

KOKRAJHAR: The police nabbed three people with 91 Kgs of Ganja on Karigaon national highway in Kokrajhar on Wednesday.. The arrested persons were identified as Hasanur Rahman, Mithun Miya of Mankachar and Mukesh Kumar of Bihar. BPF chief Hagrama Mohilary was granted bail on Saturday and released against case CR 34/2020, accused of section 120-B/500 IPC from CJM court in Kokrajhar. KOKRAJHAR: Two people were killed on the spot in a late-night road accident in Balajan Pakriguri under Kokrajhar police station. Kokrajhar: The first ever edition of the All Assam Prize Money Non-Ranking Badminton Championship-2021 concluded on Tuesday after a two-day programme was scheduled to be held at the indoor stadium of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) in Kokrajhar district. At least three persons died and several others received injuries due to the lightning struck at Anthaibari under Bengtol police outpost in Chirang district on Wednesday afternoon. According to the source, three persons have died and several other people from Anthaibari area received serious injuries due to heavy lightning this afternoon while people were watching a football match at Anthaibari playground.
