Bodo Harimu Afad observes 30th Foundation Day

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad (All Bodo Cultural Federation) observed its 30th foundation day at Harimu Afad on Tuesday.

President of the Bodo Harimu Afad Jogeswar Brahma hoisted it's federation flag with floral tribute to martyrs.

Adviser of the federation Rupendra Nath Brahma paid homage to martyrs and observed one minute silence condolence.

The Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad was founded on 20th July (1991) to work for the uplift and development of the Bodo cultural integration in the region.

Brahma said that the foundation day was observed today with a brief program scheduled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state.

He said that the Dularai Bodo Harimu Afad was working towards the welfare and development of the Bodo cultural and language since its inception.

He informed that the Bodo Harimu Afad has been emphasizing for carrying curriculum of Bodo cultural besides organizing seminar and workshops on Bodo language and cultural welfare.

Brahma has urged all sections of the society to maintain social distance and using hands sanitization as well wearing masks to combat the COVID-19 infection.

BTC executive member for Cultural department Daobaisa Boro has graced as guest on the occasion.

Boro has assured that the BTC administration is emphasizing for extending financial support to senior Bodo cultural activists and organizers who have been dedicated to the uplift and development of the Bodo cultural integration.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district. The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening.
