Wild elephant dies

A wild jumbo of around 15 years old embraced death at Kala river of No. 3 Bholatar  under Nonai Reserve Forest near Bamunjali TE on Wednesday night. A team of forest personals along with vetenery doctor carried out post-mortem of the jumbo. Prima-facie evidence suggests food-poisoning to be the cause of death. 3 wild elephants and 6 humans have lost their life for the Man-elephant conflict in the district this year.
