The great escape

A hostage managed to escape from the NDFB-S camp in Bhutan 19 days after he was kidnapped from Kokrajhar.

According to information, the local resident of Lilabari in Lakhimpur was kidnapped on February 5 when he was on a visit to Kokrajhar with one of him friend.

After holding him hostage, the Bodo militant outfit demanded Rs 1 crore for his release. The family members, however, could not pay the ransom. But under mysterious circumstances, he managed to escape from the captivity.
