National education day observed in Kokrajhar
Student and teachers took oath of quality education and good citizen of the India country while observing National Education Day on the birth anniversary of Moulana Abul Kalam Azad,the first Education Minister of Independent India,today at Chandrapara MV school ground in Kokrajhar.
The observance was organised under the aegis of Sarva Siksha Abhijan Mission(SSA),Kokrajhar in collaboration with reception committee(RC) with day long programme where student,teacher and local publics participated and shared about building of quality education among society.
Race competition,Frog jump and song competitions were also organised among students and winners given away prizes on the occasion.Student and teachers took oath of education and good citizens in Assamese and Bodo language which was followed by Pradip Goyary,district programme officer(DPO) and Mahilal Basumatary,senior teacher respectively on the occasion.A plantation programme was also organised which was kicked off by Samrat Brahma,BEEO,Dotma.
Pradip Goyary,district programme officer(DPO),Kokrajhar participating the occasion said that the SSA observed the day to creating awareness for building quality education and good citizens among society.He said Azad had contributed lots towards modern education in the country after getting Independent when he was Education Minister in the nation.
He said that Azad was pioneer of the modern education and contributed various policies on education including universalisation of education,university, free and compulsory education for children in the country.
