Gogoi blames ULFA, reviews situation

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi reviewed the law and order situation at a meeting in Dispur a day after ULFA shot dead a trader and his daughter in Tinsukia district.

The authorities have already deployed four companies of additional forces in Pengeri area.

Police along with army, CRPF and SSB are on an intensive operation to apprehend the culprits.

Additional director general of police RM Singh has been monitoring the operation against ULFA

Earlier Gogoi blamed ULFA for the Tinsukia incident where a trader and his daughter were shot dead.

Talking to reporters in the sidelines of a function in Guwahati, Gogoi said that ULFA has done it to make its presence felt.

“We will firmly deal with these. The culprits would be captured,” said the chief minister.
