The Golaghat district administration has banned manufacturing and packing by Golden Eagle Tea industries hours after a woman died of tea poisoning on Saturday.

A woman died after she consumed a cup of tea brewing trouble for a tea company.

The incident took place at Aathkhelia area in the district where identified as Pramolota Saikia, fell sick along with her husband and son after sipping tea in the morning.
