Both the Union ministers would contest in the heir home seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The ruling party has finalized the first list of the poll candidates including 6 seats in Assam. Apart from the two ministers Ranne Narah from Lakhimpur, Pawan Singh Ghatowar in Dibrugarh, the party will retain BK Handique in Jorhat and Biren Singh Engti in Diphu. Gaurav Gogoi will contest in Kaliabor while Manas Bora will contest from Guwahati.

The list is expected to be announced at an time. Seven other seats would be finalized in a day or two.
