Forest guards claimed to have killed two poachers at an encounter in Kaziranga on Thursday. Three others are believed to have escaped the encounter that struck the Burapahar range of the abode of one horn rhino.
According to information, forest guards on duty spotted a group of five poachers on Thursday wee hours where the gunbattle took place.
Two poachers were killed on the spot. Three others managed to flee from the spot. Forest guards recovered a rifle along with some ammunition from the spot.
