Rhino loses battle for life

A full grown rhino lost his battle with life 12 hours after he was caught in deep mud in Kaziranga.

The one horn animal was found dead on Thursday wee hours at a pit in Kohora range of the world heritage site. 

The rhino was caught in the mud on Wednesday morning. But strange are the ways of the forest department. The heavily manned department expressed utter helplessness citing lack of nfrascture to rescue the animal from the jaws of death.

Veterinary doctors visited the animal. But only to be washed their hands off by pushing an injection.
