New industrial policy out

The Assam Government on Saturday announced a set of new industrial policy.

Addressing a press conference in Dispur, industry minister Pradyut Bordoloi said that the policy would thrust small scale industries.

He further said that industries on nonagricultural plots would be encouraged. But in the same breath, Bordoloi said that agricultural plots won’t be utilized for any industrial purpose.
