AGP steering body meets

The Asom Gana Parishad is holding its steering committee meeting in Guwahati on Saturday to chalk out strategies for the Lok Sabha polls slated for May.

To be presided over by president Prafulla Kumar Mahanta at the party headquarters in Ambari, the meeting is expected to take a final decision on forging a post poll alliance with other political parties.

Friday’s meeting failed to arrive at a consensus. The party has yet to finalise the list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
