Cong prepared for huge rally

Assam Congress is gearing up for the women and youth empowerment rally in Guwahati slated for February 25.

Senior party leaders at a meeting in Koinadhora on Sunday night resolved to make it a huge rally to counter the BJP rally attended by Narendra Modi.

The meeting decided to ensure participation of more than 2 lakh people from across the state on that day.

Much to their relief, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is understood to have agreed to attend the rally on February 25.
