The Opposition on Friday came down heavily on the Tarun Gogoi government alleging utter lawlessness and rampant corruption in the state.
Participating in the debate on the vote on account, AGP legislators have alleged that the government has failed on all fronts. “There is nothing in the vote on account that can cheer the common,” said the AGP legislators.
According to the AIUDF legislators, the vote on account has full of promises to woo the voters in the time of Lok Sabha polls. They told the House that the vote on account is only poll centric.
BJP legislators charged the government with desperately trying to woo the voters in the run up to the Lok Sabha polls. They said that the cheapest example is the Rs 200 financial assistance for the poor people for Rongali Bihu which would fail to woo the voters.
