Adivasi averse to Cong

Adivashi people are averse to vote the ruling Congress this time. The reason is nothing but the delay-delaying tactic in terms of according ST status.

This was what several Adivasi organizations decided at a convention in Guwahati on Wednesday.

Held under the banner of the Adivasi National Convention, the meeting decided to field candidates of their own atleast in 6 Lok Sabha constituencies.

State TMC dead opposed to delimitation draft

The TMC Assam unit has opposed the draft delimitation proposal published by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday evening. The proposal is prepared based on the 2001 census, which the TMC claims is not correct as there has been a change in the population pattern in the state. Seven Engineering Students Died in Accident at Jalukbari

In a tragic road accident that occurred in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati seven engineering students died at spot last night. According to reports, a group of 10 Assam Engineering College (AEC) students traveled in a scorpio car.
