Tania parents meet Sonia

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday met Nido Tania’s parents in New Delhi and assured them of steps to get justice.

The bereaved parents of the Arunachal Pradesh student who was killed by the goons in Lajpotnagar urged the UPA chairperson to take steps to ensure safety and security of other north eastern students in the national capital.

They further urged her intervention to ensure exemplary punishment for the perpetrators. Arunachal Pradesh MP Takam Sanjay and Manipur Governor VK Duggal also accompanied Tania’s parent at 10-th Janpath at 10-30 in the morning.

Union home minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Monday ordered CBI probe into the allegations of racial attack on the Arunachal Pradesh student.
