Youth shot at

A suspected Maoist activist was injured at an incident of shoot out in Tinsukia district on Saturday.

The incident took place at a tea garden in Margherita where Assam Rifles jawans were on patrolling duty at night.

According to reports, the Assam Rifles jawans asked four youths to halt after they were seen suspiciously moving to and fro in Namdang Tea Estate.

But they started fleeing from the spot. One of them injured when the Assam Rifles jawans firing at them. He was rushed to the hospital. Interrogation is going on.
