Crucial AGP meet at 7 PM

The Asom Gana Parishad steering committee is all set to meet in Guwahati on Friday afternoon to discuss the post-Rajya Sabha poll situation.

Reliable sources told Assam Times that the crucial meeting is likely to clear stern action against Padma Hazarika whose vote is likely to stand cancelled.

The party legislator from Sotea placed tick mark instead of the prescribed number in the ballot paper. The polling observer’s statement would be considered in this meeting. The mistake is a setback for the Opposition consensus candidate Haidor Hussain.
