Top KLO leader captured

In a major setback for Kamatapur Liberation Organization, security forces claimed to have captured its vice chairman on Thursday.

Identified as Tom Adhikary, the top KLO leader was held along the Indo-Bhutan border on Thursday during a combing operation. Adhikary was the mastermind behind a recent blast in New Jalpaiguri where 3 people were killed.

During the last couple of months KLO has been unleashing terror in BTAD areas in the form of murder and kidnap and extortion.

Adhikary was captured hardly a week after security forces claimed to have killed its top leader Brindabon Rajbanshi at an encounter in Kokrajhar.
